Director Lesley Weatherson created Lipspeaker UK to respond to the growing demand for Lipspeaking services for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people. With so few lipspeakers in the UK (29 in total) she wanted more work and less travel.

Setting up a hub enabled a centralising of services, kept travelling time to a minimum and provided an improved, more affordable service for lipreaders.”
Lipspeaker UK is unique. The only specialist lipspeaking service in the UK.
Lesley works as a lipspeaker and sign language interpreter for deaf people.
